Real canopy. Real pool. Pool shade in action — a 10×10 pop-up canopy standing directly inside an in-ground swimming pool with the legs protected by Canopy Turtles.
What you don't need

No weights.
No ropes.
Safer around kids.

Canopy Turtles bolt onto the canopy legs and sit on the pool floor. Nothing for kids to trip over, get tangled in, or pop — the water itself holds the canopy down.

  • Tie-down ropes & weights Nothing for kids to trip over. No sandbag ropes, cinder-block cords or weight straps stretched across the pool deck for little feet to catch or get tangled in.
  • Vinyl float bags Nothing to puncture. Float bags get popped by sharp pool toys, nails on the deck, even sun-rot. Turtles are solid ABS — built to last for years.
  • Weight bags underwater They don't even hold. Submerged sandbags lose most of their weight. The water pressing down on the Turtle feet does the anchoring instead.

The Problem

Your pop-up canopy was never made for the pool.

The metal feet that anchor a canopy on grass become the worst possible thing for a pool floor. We made the fix.

Without Turtles

Bare canopy feet shred pool floors

Plastic and metal feet were designed to bite into grass — not glide across a liner. In a pool, every step grinds them deeper.

  • Punctures vinyl liners and costs hundreds to patch
  • Scratches plaster and exposes the underlying concrete
  • Gouges fiberglass gelcoat and creates rough spots
  • Tips over because pool weights don't work submerged
With Canopy Turtles

A smooth, weighted shell that protects

Patented turtle-shell base spreads the load across the pool floor so the canopy stays planted without damaging a thing.

  • Contoured ABS shell distributes pressure evenly
  • Safe on vinyl liners, plaster, fiberglass and gunite
  • No weights, no air bags — the shell anchors itself
  • Bolts onto the canopy legs once, set for the season
Why families pick them

Built for the way people actually use their pool.

More shade, more pool time

Block UV rays so kids, parents and grandparents can stay in the water longer without burning. Babies and sun-sensitive skin too.

Protects what's underneath

The contoured shell spreads canopy weight across the pool floor so vinyl, plaster, fiberglass and gunite all stay scratch-free.

Five-minute install · all-season pool shade

Bolt them onto the canopy legs with the included stainless screws and you're set for the season. Take the canopy down at the end of each pool day. Built to last for years.

How it works

Five minutes. One screwdriver. One season of pool shade.

Each Canopy Turtle bolts onto the bottom of a standard 10×10 pop-up canopy leg with three included stainless-steel screws and lock washers — snug, but don't over-tighten. Five minutes total for all four legs.

Take the canopy down at the end of each pool day. If you want, pop the four Turtles off the legs and store them in the included mesh bag (the bag is for the Turtles only, not the canopy). Tomorrow you're set up again in minutes.

Who buys them

For backyard pools — not resorts.

Most pool shade content online is pergolas and shade sails — beautiful, expensive, permanent. Canopy Turtles are for the family that already owns a pop-up canopy and just wants it to work in the water.

If you've got grandkids over for the afternoon, a birthday party in the deep end, or a baby who burns easily — this is the simplest, fastest, cheapest way to put real shade right where you swim.
